November 2026 Has Only One Military Payday. Here Is Why

Both November 2026 paydays fall on a Sunday, so the November 1 pay arrived October 30 and the mid-month pay arrives Friday, November 13. Plan bills around the gap until December 1.

Service members will see only one paycheck land during the calendar month of November 2026. The November 1 payday fell on a Sunday, so that pay was deposited early, on Friday, October 30. The November 15 payday is also a Sunday, so it moves up to Friday, November 13.

The next deposit after that is the regular December 1 payday, a Tuesday.

The November schedule

Payday Day it falls on Deposited
November 1 Sunday Friday, October 30
November 15 Sunday Friday, November 13
December 1 Tuesday Tuesday, December 1

When a military payday falls on a weekend or a federal holiday, pay is deposited on the last working day before it. It is never paid late because of a weekend.

Why it matters

Nothing is missing. You are still paid twice for November. But October had three deposits (October 1, October 15 and October 30), and November has one. If rent, a car payment or a credit card is due in the middle or at the end of November, the October 30 money has to stretch further than usual.

The gap from November 13 to December 1 is 18 days, and it includes Thanksgiving on November 26. Holiday travel and shopping in that stretch are paid from the mid-month check.

What comes next

December has normal paydays on Tuesday, December 1, and Tuesday, December 15. The January 1, 2027 paycheck is deposited early, on Thursday, December 31, and is still paid at 2026 rates. See why the first 2027 payday is December 31 and the full 2027 pay dates.
